The winner of the best controller of 2017 is the Arturia MiniLab Mk II. The Arturia is one of the smallest controllers, but don't let it's size fool you. It packs in plenty of pads and rotaries, as well as a collection of 500 sounds. At a cost of 99 pounds, it is an affordable option. In the Highly Recommended Category is the controller Nektar LX 49+. It features easy set up, good DAWS and a collection of excellent features. At 139 pounds it is also a good buy.
- Unfortunately, Native Instruments released Komplete Kontrol too late to be considered in the rankings, however, it is sure to be a formidable competitor in the controller space.
- Arturia’s MiniLab Mk II comes in at number one this year, packing an impressive number of features into a small keyboard.
- For £139.99, The Nektar LX 49+ offers easy set up and nine assignable buttons with six transport buttons and a top of the line controller.
“Nektar’s range of controllers aims to offer tight integration with DAWs with minimum fuss setting up, and they also offer great value for money.”
