Mixing during a live event is totally different from mixing in a recording, besides the fact that mistakes should be minimized there is a factor that is added beyond the art and science of mixing. It is the art of customer service, although most may disagree at first when something goes wrong in the mix all eyes are on you. Treat your audience as if they are your customers and of course their satisfaction is a major concern. You may mistakes that no one will notice that’s fine, but you don’t want to ruin an event with your mixing would you?
